The owner and manager of this website is Phys Biz Pty Ltd (ACN 146 454 748), hereafter referred to as the “Company”.

Eligibility

The purpose of the specialist.physio website is to advocate for specialist physiotherapists who have been conferred by the Australian College of Physiotherapists.  To be eligible to register an account with this site you must be a specialist physiotherapist who has been conferred by the Australian College of Physiotherapists.

Your Content

The Company reserves the right to edit, amend or delete any information you submit to the website. You will receive notification of any significant alteration made by the Company.

Removal

The Company reserves the right to remove any person’s details from the website for any reason. If your details have been removed from the website you are not entitled to a refund. Special circumstances may be considered at the Company’s sole discretion.

The Company is committed to providing quality services to you and this policy outlines the Company’s ongoing obligations to you in respect of how the Company manages your Personal Information.

What is Personal Information and why do we collect it?

Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. Examples of Personal Information the Company collects include: names, addresses, images, professional details, email addresses, telephone numbers.

This Personal Information is obtained in many ways including via your submission to the Company’s website www.specialist.physio, from the Company’s payment provider and from third parties. The Company does not guarantee website links or policy of the company’s payment provider and authorised third parties.

The Company collects your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing the Company’s services to you, providing information to the Company’s clients and marketing. The Company may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure. You may unsubscribe from the Company’s mailing/marketing lists at any time by contacting us in writing.

When the Company collects Personal Information the Company will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why the Company is collecting the information and how the Company plans to use it.

Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information.

• For a secondary purpose that is directly related to the primary purpose

Where reasonable and practicable to do so, the Company will collect your Personal Information only from you. However, in some circumstances the Company may be provided with information by third parties. In such a case the Company will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to the Company by the third party.

The Company will not charge any fee for your access request, but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your Personal Information.

In order to protect your Personal Information the Company may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

Maintaining the Quality of your Personal Information

It is an important to the Company that your Personal Information is up to date. The Company will take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up-to-date. If you find that the information the Company has is not up to date or is inaccurate, please log into your account and update our records to ensure the Company can continue to provide quality services to you.

Assignment

The Company reserves the right to assign their rights and obligations under this agreement to a third party. You will be notified of any assignment. An assignment will not terminate this agreement.

Agreement Termination

This agreement will terminate on 31 December 2023.
