Kay is a Specialist Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist and one of only 10 in Victoria with this clinical speciality. To achieve this she has undergone an extensive two year training program and then passed the clinical examination that ensures she is highly skilled in complex sports and exercise conditions and practicing at a high level worthy of the specialist title.
In attaining her specialist title Kay has joined the elite ranks of Sports and Exercise Physiotherapists. Kay’s standing as a Specialist and her varied and vast experience has her especially interested in complex inuries and issues and ensuring the rehabilitation exercises and plan is in line with the latest research.
Kay has extensive experience as a Sports Physiotherapist in elite sport and clinically in sports medicine clinics. Kay has worked internationally for Australian Women’s Water Polo, Australian Women’s Basketball and WTA (Women’s Tennis Association).
Kay is happy to see people of all ages and levels of sport/activity to assist with solving their complex and persistent injuries. Kay’s varied background has ensured her knowledge and skills in a wide range of conditions especially shoulders and upper limb, all tendon issues, foot/ankle and hip.
Kay currently provides mentoring services to all level of physiotherapists – concentrating on clinical reasoning, assessment skills and how to implement patient focused rehabilitation programs that meet the patient objectives
